Refund & Dispute Policy

Financial contributions on RSVPlea are voluntary and are collected on behalf of the event host to fund their gathering. This policy explains how refunds and payment disputes are handled. RSVPlea is operated by Puffin Labs, LLC.

Requesting a refund

If you need a refund for a contribution, contact support@rsvplea.com before the event date, and include the event name and the email used to contribute. Because contributions are committed to a specific host's gathering, requests made before the event can be honored; requests after the event has taken place may not be refundable as funds have been used for the gathering.

How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take several business days for the refund to appear. The 5% platform fee is refunded together with the contribution on eligible full refunds.

Event cancellation

If a host cancels an event, contributions toward that event are refunded to the original payment method. See our Cancellation Policy.

Payment disputes and chargebacks

RSVPlea (Puffin Labs, LLC) handles payment disputes directly. If you don't recognize a charge or believe one was made in error, please contact us first at support@rsvplea.com — we can usually resolve the issue faster than a bank dispute. If you have already filed a dispute with your card issuer, we will respond to it through Stripe.
