Terms of Service

RSVPlea ("RSVPlea", "we", "us", or "our") is a product operated by Puffin Labs, LLC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RSVPlea website and application (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

RSVPlea is an event-coordination platform for recurring in-person gatherings. Hosts create event pages, invite guests, and organize what attendees will bring. Guests may RSVP, claim items to contribute, and optionally make voluntary financial contributions toward an event.

2. Accounts

Hosting an event requires an account. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old to host an event or make a contribution.

3. Contributions and payments

Financial contributions are optional and are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. When a guest contributes, funds are routed via Stripe Connect to the event host's connected Stripe account to fund the host's gathering. RSVPlea retains a 5% platform fee on each contribution. By making a contribution you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms. See our Refund & Dispute Policy and Cancellation Policy.

4. Host responsibilities

Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their event details, for using contributions toward the stated gathering, and for complying with all applicable laws. RSVPlea is a coordination tool and is not a party to the in-person gathering itself.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose, to solicit contributions under false pretenses, or to interfere with the Service's operation or security.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Puffin Labs, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
